Road-safety campaigns have been active in the Kingdom for years, but the statistics of road accidents and fatalities keep rising. I recently came across a man whose wife wanted to get a driving licence for their new car. Third, this idea also reflects that our driving school and authorities in the Land Transport Department do not make safety a priority. Every year the government spends billions of baht on road-safety campaigns and for medical care for those injured in road accidents. The total number of road accidents will hardly come down unless people truly understand the importance of road safety.
